My Family and I just moved to San Diego from Jacksonville, NC. I can tell you that it has been a big change for everyone. I do have to say everyone has adapted pretty well. I am in the U.S. Marine Corps and was recently transferred to MCAS Miramar, and that is the reason for our move. We have been in our new home for about two weeks now and love the new town. Me, my wife and my oldest son were stationed out here a couple years ago so we know the area, but this is the first time for the youngest, and my oldest was too young to really remember anything from the first time. So far they are enjoying themselves and are looking forward to the start of the new school year and new school. As for my wife and me we cannot beat the beautiful weather and the gorgeous town. Something about this place just puts us in a good mood. We are even getting in a healthier lifestyle out here; starting fresh more or less. My wife has started working out with one of our neighbors we met, and I am taking up bicycling. For the last two weeks I have been riding to my new squadron and back for a total of about 19.2 miles round trip. I plan to start to commute back and forth to work on my bike while I am out here as well. So it looks like a great move for us. Change is good every once in awhile, and this change so far is definitely good.
